These established Nandina domestica are noted for there compact nature and vibrant red foliage which turns into a darker red in the autumn and winter months. Its happily grown in pots or in the ground as long as it has well draining soil and sun or semi-shade. Remove any dead stems throughout the year and then trim back upto one-third of the plant in late-winter or early-spring to encourage new growth.
